The future of Disney's Daredevil revival appears uncertain following a curious remark from series star Charlie Cox.
Speaking at GalaxyCon, Cox referred to the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again—scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in 2026—as the show's "final season." This suggests that, despite years of anticipation for the character's return, fans may only receive two seasons.
However, the situation may not be so definitive. Weighing in to shift the conversation, Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays Kingpin, has hinted that there is still hope for the series to continue—even if nothing is confirmed yet.
While discussing his new Daredevil suit during a GalaxyCon stage appearance (which the event filmed and later posted on TikTok), Cox described Born Again Season 2 as the show's last.
"There's something we do in this final season that doesn't exist in the comics, so it's unique to our show," Cox explained.
Seeking clarification, fans later shared Cox's statement with Wilson Fisk actor Vincent D'Onofrio, who responded this morning via X with the comment: "Good chance there will be a third."

Daredevil: Born Again has been one of the most anticipated Marvel series to arrive on Disney+, with Charlie Cox's portrayal of Daredevil consistently ranking as a fan favorite. However, it remains unclear how well the show's first season resonated with broader audiences.
Much like its protagonist Matt Murdock, the series has wrestled with its identity, emerging as a hybrid—blending Marvel's initial plan for a fresh character introduction with later additions to Season 1 intended to better connect it to the original Netflix Daredevil series.
The upcoming second season—which may now serve as its last—will be the first developed from the start with its Netflix history clearly in mind, including the return of Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones. At the very least, D'Onofrio's comment offers hope for more—though the show's future may ultimately depend on how next year's episodes are received.
