Carplounge Autopilot / Raymarine Element App for RT7 & RT4 V4
The Carplounge Autopilot revolutionizes the control of your BaitBoat by replacing the traditional remote with an Android tablet or phone. The app, available for free on the Google Play Store, can be used on any Bluetooth-enabled Android device. By connecting the tablet to the boat via a Bluetooth transmitter box, you can operate the boat entirely through the touchscreen.
In manual mode, you can navigate the BaitBoat just as you would with a conventional remote, using the touchscreen to steer. The app displays the boat's position, route, and orientation, utilizing a compass function, all updated in real-time on the map. Additionally, you can save and name promising fishing spots identified with the echo sounder using the integrated GPS, such as "jetty left," "spot 1," "home," etc.
Switch to autopilot mode, and you can select and combine points into a route, assigning specific actions at each waypoint. For instance, you can set the following sequence:
- Navigate to "Sandbank" and open the right hatch upon arrival.
- Proceed to "Spot 2" and open the left hatch.
- Return to the fishing place and blink once.
Once programmed, the boat will automatically follow the route, allowing you to store an almost limitless number of spots and routes. The precision of the route guidance is unparalleled, thanks to advanced measurement technologies including position and acceleration sensors, as well as the latest GPS and compass technology, achieving 90% accuracy within 30cm.
The app also intelligently manages line tension when deploying multiple rods to different spots. If you tension one or both lines while the boat is in motion, the built-in electronics detect this and adjust the boat's course to maintain a direct path to the target without unnecessary turns, preventing line bends.
While the autopilot serves as the primary control method, you have the option to connect a traditional remote control to the system. This flexibility allows you to choose between tablet control or remote control. The app is optimized for 10-inch Android tablets, providing a seamless touchscreen steering experience.
The app, available for free on the Google Play Store, is continuously developed and updated. Automatic software updates ensure that new features, changes, and enhancements are delivered promptly, without the need to return the autopilot or the boat for updates.
