Quick rules overview:
After distributing cards equally among four players, participants take turns passing or bidding the number of tricks their partnership can secure beyond six in any suit or in "No Trumps." The auction-style bidding continues with each player either surpassing the current highest bid or passing.
The player to the declarer's left initiates the opening lead. Participants then play one card each in sequence, following suit when possible. Those unable to follow suit may play any card from their hand, including trumps. After determining the trick winner by highest card, that player leads the subsequent trick. The contracting team aims to fulfill their bid by taking sufficient tricks, while opponents attempt to prevent this.
Following the opening lead, the dummy's cards become visible to all players. The declarer manages both their own cards and the dummy's cards. If your partnership wins the contract, you'll control both the declarer and dummy hands.
At each round's conclusion, successful bidders earn contract points for meeting or exceeding their bid, or grant undertrick penalty points to opponents. The rubber goes to the team achieving the highest score after winning two of three games, with games won at 100 contract points.
