Story
The DC universe features multiple parallel dimensions which exist simultaneously. These are known as alternative universes. In these unique realms, each event unfolds differently, leading to multiple outcomes.
The game is set in a fictional alternative universe where Superman has become corrupted after being tricked into killing his pregnant wife, Lois, and millions of civilians in a tragic nuclear accident. In response, he brutally takes down the Joker, the mastermind behind the tragedy, and establishes tyrannical control over the planet.
With his mind corrupted, Superman sees himself as the supreme deity tasked with protecting the planet's peace and order. He becomes ruthless, willing to kill anyone he deems guilty.
This cannot continue, or the planet will fall into destruction. A group of superheroes, known as the Insurgency, forms to stand against this dictatorship, led by Batman. Despite their powers, they cannot defeat Superman's One Earth Regime and require help.
Batman and the Insurgency devise a plan to teleport superheroes from a different dimension where the Joker's schemes never succeeded. They aim to harness the powers of these alternate realm heroes. Thus, begins your ultimate journey in the world of Injustice.
