The Biggest Games Coming in 2025

by Ellie Mar 18,2025

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2025! Another year, another orbit around that giant fiery ball we call the sun. Let's dive into the biggest game releases of 2025!

January 2025

Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Tecmo Koei's *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* charges onto PS5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC on January 17th. This first full-fledged entry since 2018 promises a current-gen spectacle of enemy-slaying action. Prepare to yell "DIE, NASTY WARRIORS!" as you plow through hordes.

Prefer a more… precise approach? On January 30th, Sniper Elite: Resistance continues its tradition of long-range, gratuitous Nazi-related… mishaps. Expect more of the same satisfying formula—available on all Xboxes, PlayStations, and PC. (Did I mention shooting Nazis in the junk? Because you can.)

February 2025

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Is this real life? Is this fantasy? Neither, but it *is* a bohemian rhapsody! *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* (February 11th) continues Henry of Skalitz's adventures in 14th-century Bohemia. Expect deep RPG mechanics and a massive open world. Available on current-gen consoles and PC.

For a larger scale and timeframe, Sid Meier's Civilization VII also launches February 11th. This iconic series needs little introduction: explore, expand, exploit, and… well, you know. Available on nearly everything except mobile (for now).

On February 14th, Assassin's Creed Shadows takes the series to feudal Japan, letting you play as both ninja and samurai. Current-gen and PC.

Feeling lonely on Valentine's Day? Date Everything! (PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC) offers a sandbox dating sim with 100+ anthropomorphic inanimate objects. Fully voice-acted!

Monster Hunter Wilds
Obsidian's *Avowed* (February 18th, Xbox Series and PC) takes the *Pillars of Eternity* universe into a first-person, real-time action RPG. Expect a more focused experience compared to *Skyrim*.

For high-seas mayhem, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii (February 21st, Xboxes, PlayStations, and PC) features Goro Majima's amnesiac pirate adventure.

And finally, the behemoth: Monster Hunter Wilds (February 28th, Xbox Series, PS5, and PC) aims to refine the core experience, adding new features and attracting both veterans and newcomers.

March 2025

Split Fiction
Hazelight's *Split Fiction* (March 6th, PC and current-gen consoles) delivers another co-op adventure, this time with a sci-fi and fantasy author stuck in VR. One copy, two players.

For a more… relaxed experience, Tales of the Shire (March 25th, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC) lets you live the life of an ordinary hobbit.

Atomfall
Prefer post-apocalyptic pastoral England? *Atomfall* (March 27th, all but Switch) offers a *Fallout*-esque survival experience with strong *Stalker* influences.

The First Berserker: Khazan (March 27th, Xboxes, PlayStations, and PC) expands the Dungeon Fighter Online universe.

And potentially the Sims killer: inZOI (March 28th, PC, with console versions later) is a stunningly beautiful life sim that could shake up the genre.

April 2025

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
*Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves* (April 24th, PlayStations, Xbox Series, and PC) is the first mainline entry in the series this century. Let's hope it's worth the wait!
