Following its successful early access launch, Hytale—the highly anticipated Minecraft-inspired sandbox RPG—claimed the title of most-watched game on Twitch. Data from TwitchTracker reveals that during its debut on January 13, peak viewership surpassed 444,000 concurrent users.
Although current stream viewership has settled to approximately 90,000–100,000 fans, Hytale remains a top contender for the most-watched title on the platform. This achievement is particularly remarkable given that the game is still in early access and has navigated numerous delays and development shifts over its eleven-year journey.
The positive reception was largely anticipated; Hypixel Founder Simon Collins-Laflamme had previously noted on Twitter (X) on January 12 his expectation of exceeding one million players during the initial launch window.
