Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 presents a challenging gameplay experience. If you're looking to adjust the difficulty, here's what you should know.
Difficulty Settings in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Unfortunately, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 does not offer adjustable difficulty settings. There's a single, default difficulty level, providing a consistent gameplay experience. However, the game's difficulty naturally eases as you progress and gain experience.
To improve your initial experience:
- Prioritize finding a bed: Sleeping allows saving and healing, crucial for survival, especially as nighttime travel is risky.
- Follow the main questline ("Wedding Crashers"): This introduces core mechanics and provides early rewards.
- Complete quests for the blacksmith or miller: These offer valuable early-game resources and Groschen.
- Utilize Saviour Schnapps: While the game auto-saves at quest points, Schnapps provides additional manual saving options in the open world.
Hardcore Mode
For those seeking a heightened challenge, a Hardcore Mode is planned. This update, coming soon after release, will increase enemy difficulty and impose a negative starting perk. It's important to note that once initiated, Hardcore Mode cannot be adjusted mid-playthrough.
