As the calendar flips to May 2025, Pikmin Bloom is preparing to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary with a nostalgic throwback to the iconic days of Nintendo. This month-long event, running from May 1st to May 31st, brings back beloved elements from the 80s and 90s, paying homage to Nintendo’s rich history beyond video games.
Get Ready for a Nostalgic Journey Through Time!
For this milestone celebration, Pikmin Bloom is introducing a series of classic Nintendo console-inspired decor Pikmin. These include designs reminiscent of gaming giants from the late 20th century. To add even more nostalgia, there’s also a Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin, inspired by Nintendo’s early days when they manufactured traditional playing cards.
Every time you complete an Event Challenge mission, you’ll earn random rewards such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals. Meanwhile, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear throughout the event. Defeating them with the right Pikmin will yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other valuable items. Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective against these mushrooms.
Celebrate with Special Flowers and Nectar Updates!
This anniversary event also features special flowers that can bloom into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses. Simply plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them to trigger their transformation. Additionally, the nectar system has been updated so that fruit from mushrooms during May will provide nectar for both regular flowers and special blooms like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
