Description

To play the game "Catch All the Chess Pawns with the Jump of the Horse," follow these steps and commands:

Game Objective:

Use the knight (horse) to capture all the pawns on the board. Each pawn must be captured exactly once, and once captured, it is removed from the board. The knight must continue capturing pawns until all are taken.

Game Setup:

  • Pawns are fixed on the board but their positions change according to a pattern.
  • The knight moves in an "L" shape: two squares in one direction and one square perpendicular.

Commands:

  • back: Go back one move.
  • reset: Restart the scheme.

Difficulty Levels:

  • Easy: 6 pawns
  • Medium: 10 pawns
  • Hard: 20 pawns
  • Master: 50 pawns

Hints:

  • First Pawns (Green): These are the pawns you should aim to capture first.
  • Last Pawns (Blue): These are the pawns you should aim to capture last.

Strategy:

  1. Start with Green Pawns: Begin your sequence by capturing the green-marked pawns. These are strategically placed to help you start your journey effectively.
  2. Navigate to Blue Pawns: Plan your moves carefully to ensure you end your sequence by capturing the blue-marked pawns. These are often the most challenging to reach.

Example Playthrough (Easy Level - 6 Pawns):

Let's assume the pawns are positioned as follows (hypothetical positions):

  • Green Pawns: A2, B3
  • Other Pawns: C4, D5, E6
  • Blue Pawns: F7

Possible Sequence:

  1. Start at a position where you can capture A2 (Green).
  2. Move to capture B3 (Green).
  3. Navigate to capture C4.
  4. Continue to D5.
  5. Then to E6.
  6. End with F7 (Blue).

Remember, you can use the back command if you make a mistake, and reset if you want to start over. The hints provided will help you determine the optimal starting and ending pawns.

Good luck capturing all the pawns with your knight!
