In standard Gin Rummy, only a player with 10 or fewer deadwood points can knock. Knocking with zero deadwood points is called a "gin hand," while knocking with remaining deadwood is referred to as "going down."
♣️ Straight Gin Rummy ♣️
This version omits knocking. Both players aim for gin, and the first to achieve it wins the game.
♥️ Oklahoma Gin Rummy ♥️
In this popular variation, the first face-up card’s value sets the maximum deadwood points allowed to knock. If a seven is revealed, you must reduce your deadwood count to 7 or less to knock.
