Players won't need to spend money to unlock characters or powerful items.
Beyond the elimination of gacha, the announcement highlights the game's offline playability, eliminating the need to interact with the mobile predecessor. The game's official website promises "New protagonists and an original story await in Lantarna," suggesting a shared world but independent narrative and characters.
Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian is slated for release on PS5, PS4, Switch, and Steam in 2025. Pricing and a precise release date remain unannounced.
A Look Back at the Mobile Gacha System
The mobile game, Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator, served as the foundation for this new installment, but it incorporated a gacha system.
