Beyond standard shogi, this app also lets you play two variants: "Prisoner's Base Shogi" and "Surround Shogi."

In addition to the classic game, "Hasami Shogi" is an app for enjoying "Prisoner's Base Shogi" and "Surround Shogi."

● Hasami Shogi Rules

Players are split into Infantry and Gold sides. The goal is to capture your opponent's pieces by sandwiching them between your own.

Win the game by capturing three of the opponent's pieces.

However, due to the nature of Hasami Shogi, games can sometimes reach a stalemate (while efforts are made to minimize this, the game can involve an element of luck).

● Prisoner's Base Shogi Rules

Players are divided into Infantry and Gold. Move all your infantry into the opponent's 3x3 territory to win. You can jump over your opponent's pieces.

● Surround Shogi Rules

Players are split into Infantry and Gold. Similar to Hasami Shogi, you capture pieces by sandwiching them. Additionally, you can claim territory by placing your pieces to surround empty squares on the board.

The winner is the first to secure three territories or capture six frames.

For all rule sets, the CPU opponent has three difficulty levels. Player-versus-player (PvP) mode is also available.
