Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Now $2,399.99

by Matthew May 13,2025

Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, equipped with the new GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99 shipped. This price point represents one of the best deals currently available for a prebuilt system with an RTX 5080, especially considering the steady price increases from other brands since the RTX 50 series launch in January. For comparison, the only other prebuilt PC at Dell with an RTX 5080 GPU is priced over $4,000. If you're considering a DIY build, good luck finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU; you might end up spending as much on just the GPU as you would on this entire system.

$2,399.99 at Alienware

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC comes loaded with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU features a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, 20 cores, and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is part of the new Blackwell series of graphics cards, which have been notoriously difficult to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already own a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not offer enough of a performance boost to justify the upgrade – it doesn’t significantly outperform the RTX 4080, though the extra frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation enhance gameplay in supported titles. However, for gamers looking to upgrade from older GPUs, the RTX 5080 delivers a significant performance improvement, especially if you're eager to leverage Nvidia’s AI technologies."

RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere

The initial preorders for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within the first hour of availability. The first releases included the top-tier RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Unfortunately, prebuilt gaming PCs with these new GPUs face similar challenges, either being out of stock, seeing price hikes, or experiencing extended delivery delays.
