In classic fatherly surprise, Hollywood icon Arnold Schwarzenegger was as taken aback as fans to see his son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, baring it all in Season 3 of The White Lotus.
“I’m watching your show, and there you are, showing off,” the 77-year-old Schwarzenegger shared during a recent Actors on Actors session, featured in the Variety tweet below, alongside his son.
“I saw you out there and thought, ‘What’s happening here?’ It’s wild! Then I realized, ‘Well, Arnold, you did the same in Conan and Terminator.’ You were out there too, so no complaints.’ Still, it was a shock to see you follow so closely in my path.”

Patrick arguably stole the spotlight with his role in Season 3 of The White Lotus, though he’s no newcomer. He previously starred in the 2022 miniseries The Staircase and 2024’s American Sports Story.
In films, his standout performance (in my view) is in the 2019 psychological horror Daniel Isn’t Real, where Patrick plays the imaginary friend of a troubled young man portrayed by Miles Robbins. Over the years, he’s proven himself a versatile actor with strengths distinct from his father’s.
Arnie debuted on-screen in the 1970 film Hercules in New York and is best known for his role as The Terminator in the Terminator franchise. Absent from films since 2019, he’s been leading the Netflix series FUBAR since 2023 and is set to star in two upcoming projects: Kung Fury 2 and The Man With the Bag.
