During a Variety interview, the actor humorously exclaimed "f**k it" after accidentally disclosing story details about his character's significant narrative function. "He's quite central to where things might progress," Cumberbatch noted, additionally confirming plans for a third Doctor Strange solo film.

Regarding Strange's absence from Avengers: Doomsday, Cumberbatch attributed it to "narrative considerations rather than character limitations." The upcoming Avengers film features Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, with unconfirmed reports suggesting Chris Evans' involvement.
