Boxbound's latest update introduces rats and earthquakes, adding excitement to the daily grind.

by Claire Jun 12,2025

Boxbound, the delightfully chaotic puzzle game that launched last month, is already back with a brand-new update designed to crank up the mayhem. Dubbed "Rats in the Warehouse!", this latest patch plunges players straight into pest control mode—because apparently, stacking boxes wasn’t enough of a challenge.

Now, alongside your daily duties as a postal worker, you’ll have to contend with randomised events featuring mischievous rats scurrying through the warehouse. And just when you think you've got things under control, earthquakes will shake things up—literally—adding yet another layer of unpredictability to an already intense gameplay experience.

The update also introduces three new unlockable boxes, each offering fresh rewards and challenges. But if you really want to prove your mettle, aim for the newly added Hall of Fame—a leaderboard for those chasing ultimate bragging rights among box-moving enthusiasts.

Of course, reaching the top won't be easy. In fact, developer stats reveal that out of tens of thousands of players, only eight have managed to surpass level 1000. So, don’t expect to breeze through this one.
