Call of Duty Leak May Reveal When Verdansk Will Return to Warzone

A recent leak suggests the beloved Verdansk map might be making a comeback to Call of Duty: Warzone in Season 3. This news has ignited excitement among fans who fondly remember the original Verdansk, a map integral to Warzone's initial success and featuring iconic locations like the City Center, Airport, Boneyard, and Suburbs. While Verdansk's return was briefly seen in Warzone Mobile, its absence from the main console and PC versions has been keenly felt.

The leak, originating from user TheGhostofHope and reported by Charlie Intel, hints at a Verdansk more closely resembling the original than the previously released Verdansk '84. While Verdansk '84 shared some similarities, it boasted a distinct aesthetic and lacked key landmarks. The potential return coincides with the anticipated release of Black Ops 6 Season 3, a period often marked by significant content updates and player influxes. This season's overlap with the mainline game could further boost player numbers, especially considering the recent player decline in Black Ops 6.

However, it's crucial to temper expectations. The information remains unconfirmed by Activision or Treyarch, and the leaked image's origin is unclear. Regardless of Verdansk's return, Activision's ongoing updates to both Black Ops 6 and Warzone guarantee a steady stream of new content for players. Season 3 is tentatively slated for a Spring release, potentially bringing Verdansk back in March, but this remains speculative until official confirmation. Season 2, commencing January 28th, promises Ricochet anti-cheat improvements and additional game modes and events.
