How to Start Battle of Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
The Battle of the Frogs and Mice side quest becomes available after completing either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Regardless of your initial choice, progressing through either quest will unlock this follow-up mission.
Simply speak with Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to initiate the quest. You'll then need to travel to the designated pasture area to begin.
Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?
Once again, Henry finds himself caught between Prochek and Olbram's conflict, though there exists a diplomatic solution we'll explore shortly.
To pledge allegiance:
- Speak with Prochek in Tachov and declare "Let's teach those Zhelejovites a lesson!"
- Or advise Olbram in Zhelejov with "Let's deal with those Tachovites!"
If you're unable to pass the crucial dialogue check during negotiations, one opponent will flee, making combat significantly easier. Successfully completing either side's fight will earn you groschen.
How to Stop the Feud

For a more peaceful resolution, initiate reconciliation discussions with either leader before visiting the pasture. Travel to Troskowitz to meet Bailiff Thrush and select the dialogue option: "This could finally bring peace."
Successfully passing a persuasion check grants access to the scribe's chamber containing the Troskowitz Chronicle. Alternatively, stealth might be required - consider saving beforehand.
Consult the scribe using the Latin phrase: "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."
At the pasture, locate three aligned oak trees. Inspect the central tree to find a crucial nail:
- Leave it centered for equal land division
- Place west to favor Tachov
- Place east to benefit Zhelejov
Your choice here carries little consequence, so select according to preference or remain neutral. After deciding, update Bailiff Thrush to formalize the truce.
Finally, convince Prochek or Olbram to meet at the pasture to witness your peacekeeping success. Completing this diplomatic solution rewards you with the Master Studies I book.
