Onimusha: Way of the Sword Gets a Bunch of New Details

PlayOnimusha: Way of the Sword is slated for release in 2026, and Capcom has shared some thrilling insights into what fans can anticipate from this new installment in the franchise. The development team is focusing on three key elements: crafting compelling characters, introducing a new protagonist, and designing engaging enemies. They are dedicated to recreating the historical ambiance of Kyoto, which will be filled with authentic, real-life locations. Additionally, the team aims to deliver the "ultimate sword fighting action" experience, emphasizing the visceral thrill of slicing through enemies.

Set in the Edo Period, the game introduces us to a protagonist who, through a twist of fate, wields the powerful Oni Gauntlet. This weapon will be crucial in battling the evil Genma creatures, with the gauntlet feeding on the souls of defeated foes. While the game promises to be challenging, the developers are committed to ensuring it remains accessible and enjoyable for action fans of all skill levels.

Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 to Feature Flagship Monster Arkveld

PlayThe second Open Beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds is on the horizon, and Capcom has revealed what sets it apart from the first. The highlight is the introduction of the new flagship monster, Arkveld, featured in an advanced quest designed to challenge players. Other new features include a Gypceros Hunt, a training area, and online functionalities such as Private Lobbies and Online Single Player mode. Private Lobbies allow players to enjoy the game with friends without appearing in public searches, while Online Single Player mode lets players play solo, with the option to use an S.O.S. Flare to switch to multiplayer when needed.

Players can transfer their data from the first Open Beta to the second, and returning elements include the Character Creator, Story Trial, and Doshaguma hunt. Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch on February 28, with the second Open Beta, featuring Cross-Play, scheduled for:

  • Thursday, February 6 at 7pm PT to Sunday, February 9 at 6:59pm PT
  • Thursday, February 13 at 7pm PT to Sunday, February 16 at 6:59pm PT
PlayParticipants in the Open Beta will be able to transfer their character data to the full game, but not their progress. As a bonus, participants will receive a special Pendant.

Monster Hunter Wilds Reveals Iceshard Cliffs and New Enemies Just Waiting to Be Fought
