Krafton's mobile adaptation of Ironmace's popular extraction dungeon crawler, Dark and Darker, is preparing for its Canadian soft launch on February 5th. However, players around the globe won't have to wait much longer, as a full international release is scheduled for the first half of this year.
For the uninitiated, Dark and Darker merges the intense gameplay of an extraction shooter with classic dungeon-crawling adventure. Venture alone or team up in a party of classic archetypes—fighters, rogues, barbarians, wizards, bards, and more—to explore vast dungeons, battling monsters and rival treasure hunters eager to claim your hard-won loot.
The original PC version from Ironmace created significant buzz upon release, prompting Krafton to secure the rights for a mobile adaptation. With the global launch now on the horizon, the developers are also implementing further refinements to Dark and Darker before its worldwide debut.
Descending DeeperPlanned key updates include revisions to the Darkswarm system and dungeon escape mechanics, alongside structural dungeon overhauls designed to enhance party-based gameplay. Class differentiation will be sharpened with additional basic attacks and refined combat systems, while a broader arsenal of weapons and skills will be introduced across the board.
Pre-registration for Dark and Darker Mobile is still live on the official website. If you're new to the game, consider consulting our official Dark and Darker guide for essential tips and strategies.
