Delta Force Developers Release Black Hawk Down Campaign

by Max Nov 19,2025

The free-to-play first-person shooter Delta Force recently introduced a new cooperative campaign mode titled Black Hawk Down. This mode draws inspiration from the film of the same name and reimagines the campaign from the 2003 classic Delta Force: Black Hawk Down.

Developed from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5, this campaign immerses you in the intense streets of Mogadishu with a level of detail and realism that was unattainable in the original game 22 years ago. The mode is also intentionally designed to offer a genuine and robust challenge.

While it is technically possible to complete the campaign solo, doing so is exceptionally difficult—you won't encounter fewer enemies or less intense combat scenarios. The developers strongly advise assembling a skilled four-person squad with a diverse mix of character classes and emphasizing teamwork to successfully navigate all seven chapters of the campaign.

You can find more in-depth information about the campaign in this dedicated article. To celebrate the launch, we spoke with studio head Leo Yao and game director Shadow Guo about their decision to revive this classic campaign and the rationale behind offering it completely free of charge.
