EA Launches Playtest for The Sims Spinoff, City Life Game with Friends

Electronic Arts, commonly known as EA, is rolling out an exclusive playtest for their exciting new title, "City Life Game with Friends," as part of their ambitious Sims Project Rene. This limited-time playtest is your chance to dive into the game and share your valuable feedback on its performance and player interactions. If you're an Android user, you're in luck because this playtest is tailored just for you.

Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?

The playtest is exclusively available on Android devices that are running at least Android 12 and have a minimum of 4GB of RAM. However, it's not open to everyone, so make sure you're eligible before jumping in.

You can immerse yourself in the game until April 4th, 2025, but keep an eye on the clock because the end times vary by region. It will shut down at 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest concludes, you'll need to uninstall the game from your device.

Remember, this isn't the full game, nor does it fully represent what the final product will look like. Instead, it's a sneak peek into the direction EA might be taking with this project. It's clear that EA is experimenting with various innovative ideas here.

What’s in Store?

Once you gain access to the playtest, you'll have the chance to craft a character that reflects your unique style and vibe. The neighborhood is bustling with activities for you to explore. From browsing new outfits at the Thrift Shop to relaxing at the Café or contributing to community events, there's no shortage of things to do.

Collaborate with other players to organize block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, and embark on quests to find hidden collectibles. The game encourages social interaction and community building, allowing you to connect with others over shared interests in art, music, or just engaging in meaningful conversations.

If this sounds like your kind of game, head over to the Google Play Store and check it out (if you're in one of the designated playtest regions). And if you're not into this playtest, don't worry—stay tuned for our next news update on Bandai Namco's decision to discontinue PAC-MAN Mobile on its 45th Anniversary.
