Ubisoft Leaks Rainbow Six Siege Sequel with Upgraded Graphics

An insider known as fraxiswinning claims that Ubisoft will announce Rainbow Six Siege 2 during the Six Invitational 2025, held at the MGM Music Hall from February 14 to 16.

According to the source, the project, codenamed Siege X, is built on an upgraded engine featuring enhanced graphics with reworked textures and models.

Additionally, legacy rotating events from the original may not return—Ubisoft is reportedly focusing on introducing new ones. The game is expected to launch in Year 10 Season 2, around mid-2025.

Previously, Rainbow Six Siege creative director Alexander Karpazis stated that a full sequel wasn't necessary since the current version of the game continues to evolve. However, if the leak proves accurate, Ubisoft may have reconsidered.

It’s important to treat rumors with caution. Until Ubisoft makes an official announcement, this remains speculation.

The Rainbow Six Siege world championship, the Six Invitational 2025, is just around the corner. Twenty teams will battle in Boston for a share of the $3,000,000 prize pool and the title. Oxygen Esports, winners of the North American Last Chance Qualifier, have secured the final spot.

A twenty-team format is relatively rare. While Ubisoft is likely to follow last year’s structure—four groups of five in a round-robin stage, followed by a double-elimination playoff—we could still see a surprise in the competitive format.

The group winner skips the first playoff round, the fourth-place team starts in the lower bracket, the rest begin in the upper bracket, and the last-place team from each group is eliminated.
