Elden Ring movie director Alex Garland may reunite with his Warfare actor Kit Connor for A24 and Bandai Namco's adaptation of the 2022 RPG phenomenon.

Deadline reports Garland wants Connor involved in the Elden Ring film project, though no official offer has been extended. Variety confirmed the discussions while noting talks remain preliminary.

The pair recently collaborated on the tense war thriller Warfare, following U.S. Navy SEALs trapped in an Iraqi combat zone. Connor's recent credits include Netflix's Heartstopper, HBO's His Dark Materials, and the Elton John biopic Rocketman. He's also voiced characters in A Plague Tale: Requiem and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Connor's potential role remains unknown, as plot details for the adaptation of Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin's dark fantasy world haven't been revealed.

Garland's involvement as writer-director was announced last week. The acclaimed filmmaker behind Ex Machina and Civil War will develop the screenplay while Martin serves as producer alongside DNA's Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, and Allon Reich.
