This line is famously spoken by Vivi, the beloved black mage from FF9, during the game's emotional conclusion. The post was captioned, "If you know, you know," accompanied by a crying emoji. While not an official announcement, fans quickly interpreted the tweet as a possible hint toward a remake.

The idea has also been addressed by Final Fantasy XIV producer Naoki Yoshida. In a 2024 interview with Video Games, he shared his thoughts on what a potential FF9 remake might entail, stating, "Of course, I’m aware of the demand for a Final Fantasy IX remake. But when you consider the sheer volume of content in that game…"

Yoshida added, "Thinking about all that content makes me wonder if it’s feasible to remake it as a single title. It’s a difficult challenge—a really tough question."

Many speculate that these updated and modernized character designs could reflect how the characters would appear in a hypothetical FF9 remake.
