Android gamers rejoice - Genshin Impact is finally adding controller support! The highly anticipated feature arrives with Version 5.5, ending the long wait that began when iOS users first got this functionality back in 2021.
Genshin Impact Android Controller Support Release Date
Starting March 26, 2025, Android players can connect controllers for a premium gaming experience without touchscreen controls. The update officially supports four Bluetooth controllers: DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2.
Version 5.5 brings numerous quality-of-life improvements alongside controller support. The new cross-scene quest tracking lets players seamlessly track missions across different regions by simply opening their map and teleporting directly to objectives.
Combat becomes more accessible with updated boss guides explaining enemy mechanics clearly for newcomers. Additional optimizations affect the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot features, and Mail interface, with full details releasing during the March 14th Special Program Announcement.
