No Nintendo console would be complete without a Zelda title, and the Nintendo Switch 2 delivers in a unique way. Announced during today's Nintendo Direct, a new addition to the Hyrule Warriors series, titled Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, is set to launch this winter. Developed by Koei Tecmo, this game serves as a prequel to Tears of the Kingdom, diving deep into the ancient history of Hyrule.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment introduces players to a roster of characters from the ancient past of Tears of the Kingdom. This includes Zelda herself, alongside Rauru, Sonia, and other Secret Stone holders. The game's narrative focuses on Zelda's journey after she travels back in time, where she collaborates with the last of the Zonai tribe, Rauru, his sister Mineru, and his wife Sonia, to combat Ganondorf and his forces.
