LEGO has officially announced nine exciting new Star Wars sets, all set to debut on May 1, 2025. As part of Disney’s expansive celebration of May the 4th—better known as Star Wars Day—LEGO typically unveils a new Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) starship. In previous years, fans enjoyed builds like Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024.
This year’s UCS spotlight is on Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, widely recognized by longtime Star Wars enthusiasts as the iconic Slave I. The name change was initiated by Disney in 2021 (as confirmed by LEGO), likely due to brand sensitivity around the term “slave.” Four years later, it appears the updated name is now permanent.

The last major version of this starship was released in 2019 as part of a 20th-anniversary edition with 1,007 pieces, representing the ship from Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. The new LEGO model, however, is based on its appearance in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, and features an impressive 2,970 pieces. That makes it nearly three times the size of the earlier version. Once assembled, the model stands 7.5 inches tall, stretches 17.5 inches in length, and spans 15.5 inches wide.

This detailed build includes a richly crafted interior, adjustable blaster mounts, and seismic charges for added realism. The model can be displayed either sideways in landing mode or upright using a black display stand for flying mode. It also comes with two exclusive minifigures: Jango Fett and young Boba Fett.
