Teardown Adds Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their acclaimed sandbox game, Teardown. They've announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, a long-awaited feature that the community has been eagerly requesting. This new mode will first be available on Steam’s Experimental Branch, allowing players early access to test and provide feedback on the feature. The developers are particularly keen on hearing from the modding community, as updates to the game’s API will enable modders to adapt their creations for multiplayer environments.

Alongside the multiplayer announcement, Tuxedo Labs is set to release the Folkrace DLC, which promises to enrich the single-player experience. This expansion will introduce new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges, allowing players to compete in various events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to dominate the tracks. The Folkrace DLC is poised to add a thrilling new dimension to the game.

The multiplayer mode will initially be accessible through the "Experimental" branch on Steam, giving players a chance to test the new feature. At the same time, Tuxedo Labs will roll out API updates, ensuring that existing mods can seamlessly transition to multiplayer settings. Once the testing phase concludes, multiplayer will become a permanent fixture of Teardown.

Looking to the future, Tuxedo Labs has teased that two more major DLCs are in development, with more details expected to be unveiled later in 2025. This roadmap suggests that Teardown is set for even more exciting updates and expansions, keeping the game fresh and engaging for its dedicated player base.
