A No Trump Partnership Whist game for your smartphone or tablet!

Dive into the exciting world of Minnesota Whist, a popular no-trump partnership card game in Minnesota and South Dakota. This free-to-play game is perfect for your smartphone or tablet, offering a blend of strategy and fun as you take on smart AIs.

In Minnesota Whist, the objective shifts depending on the bid. For a "high bid," your goal is to capture seven or more of the thirteen tricks, while a "low bid" challenges you to secure six or fewer. This simple yet engaging partnership trick-taking game is ideal for honing your card-playing skills, sharpening your strategic thinking, and fostering teamwork, all while enjoying a fast-paced gaming experience.

Collaborate with your AI partner to outsmart your opponents. Whether you're new to trick-taking games or a seasoned player, Minnesota Whist offers a great platform to enhance your skills. As you improve, crank up the difficulty to hard for an even greater challenge!

Your mission is to work seamlessly with your AI partner to be the first team to reach the win target, set at either 13 or seven. Keep tabs on your progress with detailed all-time and session stats to monitor your growth.

Customize your gameplay to suit your preferences:

  • Select your preferred win target
  • Opt for a "set bonus" to add a twist to the scoring
  • Choose between easy, medium, or hard difficulty levels
  • Decide on normal or fast play mode
  • Play in landscape or portrait orientation
  • Enable or disable single-click play
  • Sort your cards in ascending or descending order
  • Replay hands from either the play or the bid phase
  • Review previous hands played during the round

Enhance your visual experience by customizing color themes and selecting from various card decks.

Quickfire Rules:

After dealing the cards evenly among four players, each player bids either high (black card) or low (red card). The bid cards are revealed one by one, starting left of the dealer. If a black card appears first, the round is played 'high,' with teams aiming to win as many tricks as possible. No further cards are turned over after the first black card. If all cards are red, the round is 'low,' and teams strive to win as few tricks as possible.

In a high bid round, the player to the right of the 'grander' (the first to bid black) leads the first trick. In a low bid round, the player to the left of the dealer starts. Players follow suit if possible; otherwise, they can play any card. The highest card of the led suit wins the trick, and the winner leads the next trick.

Scoring occurs at the end of each round. In a high bid round, the granding team earns a point for each trick over six. If they fail to reach seven tricks, the opposing team scores one or two points per trick over six, depending on the 'set bonus' setting. In a low bid round, teams earn a point for each trick under seven.
