ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled
Studio Wildcard has recently unveiled an extensive content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, extending through late 2026. This roadmap details a significant expansion of the ARK: Survival Evolved remaster, leveraging Unreal Engine 5 for enhanced performance and introducing a steady stream of new content.
Key highlights from the roadmap include:
-
Unreal Engine 5.5 Upgrade (March 2025): This crucial update will significantly boost performance and pave the way for individual DLC map downloads, reducing the overall game size. Nvidia's frame generation support will also return.
-
New Maps and Creatures: The roadmap promises a mix of free and paid map additions. Ragnarok Ascended and Valguero Ascended will arrive as free updates, accompanied by community-voted creatures and new "Fantastic Tames" (unique creatures). A new premium map (details to be announced) is slated for June 2025. Genesis Ascended (Parts 1 & 2) and Fjordur Ascended will also be added as free updates throughout 2026.
-
Bob's True Tales: This previously announced content will be released in two parts, alongside the Genesis Ascended updates.
-
Ongoing Additions: Three additional Fantastic Tames are planned for release throughout 2026.
The roadmap provides a high-level overview, suggesting the possibility of additional unannounced content throughout the next two years. The initial focus will be on the Unreal Engine 5.5 update and the release of Ragnarok Ascended with a Bison and a Fantastic Tame in April 2025. The subsequent months will see a steady release of new maps, creatures, and other content, culminating in the release of Fjordur Ascended and additional Fantastic Tames by the end of 2026. This ambitious plan ensures a rich and evolving experience for ARK: Survival Ascended players for years to come.
