In late January, a video emerged online showcasing a tool that hackers could use to eject players from matches in *Black Ops 6*. This footage was sourced from the multiplayer beta of *Black Ops 6*, as confirmed by Activision in their statement addressing the video. They emphasized that the vulnerability depicted was resolved before the game's official release in November. Activision reassured the community that the team consistently investigates reports of such utilities, and the video does not reflect the current state of the game.

However, players have accused Activision of being dishonest, asserting that hackers are still exploiting the utility. To substantiate their claims, a video was presented showing the tool in action during a match on the Nuketown map, which was incorporated into *Black Ops 6* a week following its launch.

According to Circana analysts, *Black Ops 6* was the best-selling game in the United States last year. Remarkably, the *Call of Duty* series has held the top position in the U.S. for 16 consecutive years. Additionally, *EA Sports College Football 25*, released on consoles in July, became the most-played sports game in the country.

In 2024, U.S. gamers' expenditures saw a slight decrease of 1.1% from the previous year. Circana attributes this decline primarily to reduced demand for hardware, while spending on add-ons and services increased by 2% and 6%, respectively. Looking ahead, fans can anticipate the second season of *Black Ops 6* and *Warzone 2*, which will feature a ninja theme and a crossover with the "Terminator" universe, set to premiere on January 28.
