South Korea's Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) has assigned a "19+" rating to Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The rating reflects the game's content, which includes graphic violence, excessive profanity, and depictions of illegal substance use.

Recently, Hideo Kojima presented actress Shiori Kutsuna with flowers, acknowledging her significant contributions to the game's development. Kojima's message expressed gratitude for Kutsuna's dedication, highlighting her work on motion capture in Los Angeles, 3D scanning, and voice acting (both Japanese and English) across various locations, even amidst pandemic-related challenges.

Kutsuna's involvement reportedly began in the fall of 2022. At Tokyo Game Show 2024, Kojima showcased Death Stranding 2: On the Beach with several two-minute cutscenes featuring key allies of the protagonist.

These scenes introduced several notable characters: George Miller as Tarman, captain of the Magellan mobile base; Fatih Akin as Dollman, a former medium; and the returning Léa Seydoux as Fragile. Elle Fanning portrays "Tomorrow," a mysterious character discovered in a location resembling the afterlife. Interestingly, the original Death Stranding tagline was "Tomorrow is in your hands."

One cutscene depicts the characters singing Burt Bacharach and Hal David's "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" while interacting with a pregnant woman named Rainy, played by Shiori Kutsuna.
