How to Beat the Eye Monster (Peeper) in R.E.P.O.
The Peeper is a formidable ceiling-dwelling enemy that's notoriously hard to spot. It spawns in random locations across the map, resembling a giant eyeball that remains closed until a player nears its vicinity.

Once it detects your presence, the Peeper's eye opens, drawing your attention directly to it. It locks your gaze, preventing you from looking away and inflicting two points of damage to your HP every second you're under its spell. Although the damage from a Peeper isn't typically lethal—classifying it in the game's lowest danger tier—it can be incredibly disorienting, especially when it captures your focus.
While ensnared by the Peeper's gaze, your point of view zooms in on the eyeball, making it challenging to navigate your surroundings or, in the worst-case scenario, escape from other threats.
Always be vigilant, as a Peeper can spawn anywhere. Keep a clear escape route in mind where you can retreat or move to safety. The best strategy is to break line of sight by walking around a corner or through a door. Closing the door can be tricky but achievable. If you're with a teammate, have them shut the door for you, effectively breaking the Peeper's gaze. It's crucial to keep moving and stay calm.

The only way to defeat a Peeper is by using the 'Gun', which you can purchase at the Service Station for approximately $47K. Be prepared to fire a few shots to take down this eye monster. Although it's challenging to aim while under the Peeper's influence, it's possible if you remain composed. As with many challenges in *R.E.P.O.*, having a teammate by your side can significantly ease the task.
