Torchlight: Infinite's eighth season, Sandlord, is now live and it's the biggest update yet! This season introduces a host of new features that revolutionize gameplay and challenges you to construct a floating empire in the sky.
What’s in Store in Torchlight: Infinite’s Eighth Season Sandlord?
The centerpiece of this season is the Cloud Oasis, a city you'll manage. Here, you'll collect resources from the Netherrealm and transform them into tangible benefits by assigning workers to one of five professions. This new mechanic opens up trade routes, grants bonuses, and unlocks seasonal rewards, seamlessly blending ARPG combat with strategic simulation elements.
Thea, previously known as a divine channeler, has undergone a transformation into the Blasphemer. She now inflicts desecration instead of blessings, applying Erosion Damage that intensifies over time, adding a darker twist to your encounters.
The Deep Space region has also been revamped, featuring five new stages packed with monsters and survival challenges. Additionally, a new item called Probes has been introduced. These function similarly to Compasses but occupy a unique slot, enhancing both your rewards and the difficulty level.
New Stages Are Here
The endgame experience has been enriched with new Legendary Stages, which are rare but offer unique loot configurations that can significantly alter your gameplay strategy. Some zones are breaking the mold, such as the Abyssal Vault, which contains no enemies but is filled with Mystery Chests ripe for the taking.
In contrast, the Sea of Rites is teeming with goblins. While they won't attack, defeating them can summon a secret boss, adding an exciting twist to exploration. The Supreme Showdown stage introduces the Golden Gaze mechanic, allowing both you and the bosses to use it. Land the perfect hit, and you can instantly turn foes into valuable treasure.
