Firaxis Games Unveils Civ 7 Post-Launch Roadmap
Firaxis Games has revealed its post-launch roadmap for Civilization VII (Civ 7), detailing upcoming content following the game's February 11th release. The roadmap includes both paid DLC and free updates.
Paid DLC: Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar
The first wave of paid DLC will feature Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar as playable leaders. Images showcasing these leaders were released alongside the roadmap announcement.
March Free Updates: Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest
Free updates in March will introduce exciting new geographical features: the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest. These additions promise to significantly impact gameplay strategy and map exploration.

Beyond the March updates, Firaxis plans to release additional content, including:
- 2 new leaders
- 4 new civilizations
- 4 new world wonders
- New events and challenges
The release date for this content remains unannounced. Further content drops are also planned for October 2025 and beyond.

Firaxis also acknowledged several features that didn't make the initial launch but are in development:
- Multiplayer teams
- Expansion of multiplayer to 8 players
- Player selection of starting and ending ages
- Increased map type variety
- Hotseat multiplayer
