Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled two consecutive character reveals. Yesterday's esports trailer offered a glimpse of the T-1000, but the Terminator isn't the immediate addition to the roster. Instead, Conan the Barbarian is the next fighter, dropping next week for premium edition owners. Today's gameplay trailer showcases the Cimmerian's fighting style.
Conan's gameplay emphasizes his strength. Expect powerful, high-damage attacks, though agility may be a weakness. His sword's reach could compensate for this, however. Matchups against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander will be particularly intriguing.
While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacle of some others in MK1. His acid-drowning finish is relatively straightforward. However, fun gameplay is paramount, and Conan promises just that.
Premium edition owners can unleash Conan next Tuesday, January 22nd. All other players must wait until January 28th.
