The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Now Available!
Bethesda Confirms No Official Mod Support for Oblivion Remastered

Bethesda recently held a livestream unveiling The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, confirming its immediate availability. The developers highlighted significant enhancements over the original game. However, fans may be disappointed to learn that official mod support is absent.
According to Bethesda’s official support page, Oblivion Remastered will not feature mod support. No explanation was provided for this decision, which is surprising given Bethesda’s history of supporting modders with tools like Creation Kits for titles such as Fallout 4, Skyrim, and Starfield.
Despite this, the modding community remains active, adapting mods from the original game’s Creation Kit. Currently, these mods function well with the remaster. On Reddit, modders are discussing ways to adapt their work for the remaster, which now operates on Unreal Engine 5.
Oblivion Remastered Explored in VR

Even without official mod support, fans have experimented with Oblivion Remastered in VR using UEVR just hours after its release. UEVR is a tool that enables VR compatibility for games. YouTuber LunchAndVR shared a video today showcasing early tests of Oblivion Remastered in VR with UEVR and motion controls.
The gameplay ran smoothly at 70 fps on medium graphics settings with DLSS, using a GeForce RTX 4090, Intel Core i9-13900, and 64GB RAM. With further optimization, Oblivion Remastered shows promise for a robust VR experience.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S (included with Xbox Game Pass), and PC. For the latest updates on the game, explore our detailed article below!
