Capcom unveils new gameplay footage for its upcoming action title, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, slated for release in 2026. The reveal also confirms the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi as the game's protagonist.

A fresh trailer debuted during PlayStation's State of Play showcases the game's impressive sword-based combat and formidable enemies. Despite its 2026 release date, the game's visuals and action sequences are already generating significant buzz.

PlayThe game features Miyamoto Musashi, a renowned Japanese swordsman, whose historical prowess is faithfully reflected in his unparalleled swordsmanship within the game. The trailer also hints at Musashi's playful and humorous personality.

Capcom describes Onimusha: Way of the Sword as a dark fantasy action game, starring one of Japan's most celebrated historical figures. Musashi's in-game likeness is reportedly based on the late Toshiro Mifune, a legendary Japanese actor known for his portrayal of Musashi in various samurai films.
