The iconic creature returns: the teaser trailer for the sci-fi action sequel Predator: Badlands has just dropped online.

In the preview below, we’re introduced to Elle Fanning’s character, a resident of a perilous, distant planet in a futuristic setting. The Predator she encounters stands out as distinctly different, possibly even taking the role of the protagonist. “The director of Prey invites you to a realm of relentless danger,” the teaser declares.

Beyond this reimagined Predator, the trailer includes subtle connections to the Alien universe, fueling speculation about a potential Aliens vs. Predator crossover. Fanning’s character displays a Weyland Yutani-inspired visual effect in her eyes, similar to Andy’s in Alien: Romulus, hinting she might be a synthetic. A damaged vehicle also bears the Weyland Yutani logo, the notorious megacorporation central to the Alien franchise.

Predator: Badlands was announced in development in February друзей2024, with its theatrical release confirmed for November 2025. The trailer premiered exclusively at CinemaCon earlier this month, giving fans their first look at what’s to come.

At CinemaCon, 20th Century Studios shared an official synopsis: “On a remote planet in the future, a young, outcast Predator forms an unexpected alliance with Thia, embarking on a perilous quest for the ultimate foe.”

“This film does something entirely new,” Fanning shared with reporters and industry insiders at CinemaCon. “My character isn’t the one being hunted. Instead, she joins forces with the Predator, showing him in a completely fresh perspective. I’ll leave it at that!”

Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, known for 10 Cloverfield Lane and the Predator prequel Prey, the film is co-written by Trachtenberg and Patrick Aison. Predator: Badlands hits theaters on November 7, 2025.
