Shift Up has rolled out updates for both the PlayStation 5 and PC versions of Stellar Blade, addressing a variety of bugs and technical issues.
If you have already completed the game, there isn't much new content here to bring you back—no extra story missions or costumes, for instance. However, this update does resolve a range of problems related to Photo Mode, dialogue sequences, keyboard inputs, and instances where hair or weapons were missing.
Here are the latest changes:
Stellar Blade Update 1.3.0 Patch Notes
Improved Photo Mode so that logo control indicators are displayed when selecting a logo. Fixed an issue where players were unable to exit Clyde's shop after purchasing the 'Polarized Sunglasses'. Fixed a bug where Eve's hair would not appear during the final Elder Naytiba cutscene when wearing either the 'Fluffy Bear' or 'Pink Bear' outfits. Addressed an issue where Eve's final Korean voice line was cut off during the 'Lost Items from Heaven' conversation with Clyde in the Great Desert. Fixed a problem where Eve’s arm could appear unnatural in Photo Mode while wearing the 'Black Pearl' or 'Red Pearl' outfits. When using the FSR upscaler, a game restart is now required to enable frame generation. Resolved an issue where the Fusion Weapon did not appear at the start of the Airborne Squad fight after defeating Providence. Fixed a problem in the Training Room where triggering skills with the keyboard's numpad could cause the training system to become unresponsive. Addressed an issue while fishing for the 'Betta' fish with mouse and keyboard: the striped pattern on the progress bar could obscure the reeling progress. Fixed a target lock-on malfunction that occurred under specific input conditions when using the 'Stinger' skill. Resolved a problem where the zoom function in the Hair Salon menu would not respond to controller or keyboard inputs. Fixed an occasional issue where dialogue would not appear after interacting with Adam in the Eidos 9 Atelier. Corrected a bug where Dororong would sometimes not appear during their introduction scene in Xion. Fixed a delay in newly unlocked items appearing immediately after increasing a shop’s affinity level. Improved the save timestamp system so that the time since the last save accurately reflects successful saves, not just save attempts. Enhanced the visibility of the save failure message by changing its color to yellow. Various other bug fixes and stability improvements.
The PC version of Stellar Blade launched on June 11 and has already become Sony's biggest single-player game release on Steam. It includes PC-specific features such as AI upscaling via Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unlocked framerate, Japanese and Chinese voiceover support, ultrawide display compatibility, higher-resolution environment textures, and DualSense support for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
In IGN's Stellar Blade review, the game received a score of 7/10. We noted: "Stellar Blade excels in essential aspects of action gameplay, but its unmemorable characters, underwhelming story, and some frustrating RPG mechanics keep it from reaching the top of its genre."
Keep in mind that a sequel, Stellar Blade 2, is currently in development.
