Tyler's Dev Update: v0.3.4 Now Available for Testing

by Zoe May 15,2025

Drug Dealer Simulator Schedule I continues to captivate gamers, maintaining its status as one of Steam's most-played titles. The game's developer, Tyler, has just released the first significant post-launch update, version 0.3.4, which is now available for testing on the beta branch. Tyler shared this news on the game's Steam page, indicating that the update will remain in beta for a day or two before a full release. Players eager to try out the new features can opt into the beta branch right away.

While the beta version doesn't include all the features planned for the full release, Tyler assured players that he will add more decorative objects by April 8. The urgency to release the beta was driven by the desire to allow thorough testing of the new wall-mounted objects and the pawn shop interface.

Upon its launch, Schedule I soared to the top of Steam's sales charts, outpacing major titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals. Its viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube propelled its popularity. In the game, players start as small-time drug dealers in the gritty city of Hyland Point and aim to become kingpins by manufacturing and distributing a variety of drugs. The game allows players to expand their empire through properties, businesses, and hiring employees.

Developed and published by the Australian indie developer TVGS, aka Tyler, the overwhelming success of Schedule I has been described as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." Tyler expressed his surprise at the game's reception in a Reddit post, stating, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."
