MiHoYo, the Chinese developer behind HoYoVerse, is busy at work on several projects. Their upcoming game, previously known as Astaweave Haven, has received a name change: Petit Planet. Even before a proper reveal, the game is undergoing significant alterations.
For fans of gacha games or RPGs, Astaweave Haven might be a familiar name. However, details remain scarce from MiHoYo. This new title appears to be a departure from HoYoVerse's usual open-world gacha adventures.
Instead of another gacha RPG, Petit Planet seems poised to be a life simulation or management game, reminiscent of Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. This name change is a welcome one; "Petit Planet" has a more charming feel and hints at the game's likely genre.
Game Launch Date?
The game is still under development, with no official release date announced. Astaweave Haven received approval in China for PC and mobile in July. On October 31st, HoYoVerse registered the Petit Planet trademark, now awaiting approval in the US and UK.
Given MiHoYo/HoYoVerse's rapid release schedule (remember Zenless Zone Zero following Honkai: Star Rail?), we can hope for a swift approval process, followed by a glimpse of Petit Planet's gameplay.
