Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
You'll start your journey in the heart of town, positioned across from the Gun Store and Hospital, and in front of the Trading Hut. First, clear out any unnecessary loot and arm yourself. I recommend a Rifle, which you can purchase for just $75. It offers sufficient firepower to fend off most enemies temporarily. Don't forget to stock up on coal to fuel your boat's old-school engine.

The next town is 10,000 meters away. Simply start your boat and set sail. While you can stop to take down and loot Zombies and Drowned, I wouldn't recommend it, as the houses along the route don't hold much value. To restart the ship, just add more coal. Don't be alarmed by the worm on the right side; it's harmless. Wait until you reach the second safe zone to sell your loot, but stay vigilant for Big Foot and Zombie mobs on both sides of the river.

After passing the second safe zone, you'll encounter burning buildings teeming with mobs. Clear them out if you're with friends, but otherwise, it's not worth your time due to the scattered spawn points. At around 12,000 meters, you'll find a castle-like house filled with Drowned, but it also contains valuable loot like Shotgun ammo. Use it wisely.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips And Tricks
The core gameplay loop remains simple: kill, loot, and repeat, hoping to defeat the enemy. To excel, focus on efficiency by using your boat as your main inventory. Empty your bag when you return to the boat to save time and space.

A helpful strategy I discovered is stacking Zombies near the incinerator. Although it's tempting to leave those backwater towns quickly, efficient loot stacking can significantly benefit you. If you're short on fuel, simply throw a few Zombies into the incinerator to keep going.

Keep an eye on the Sheriff's offices, as they often harbor a higher concentration of mobs but also offer rewarding weapons and ammo. I was able to sustain my shotgun use for a long time by having a friend clear the ground floor as we explored each town.

Save your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress around 25,000 meters. It's still under construction, making it vulnerable to ambushes. I recommend bringing at least three more people, with a five-person team being ideal. Be efficient when collecting loot.

Avoid engaging Big Feet after 30,000 meters. They're extremely powerful and require a lot of ammo to defeat safely. Don't waste time and plan your stops carefully. Remember, loot isn't everything.
The town after 50,000 meters is one of my favorite farming spots. It's packed with at least two dozen Drowned and Zombies. If you have friends with Shotguns or a Sawn-off, it's an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel. Coordinate with your team to prepare the bodies for loading quickly.

In the final safe zone, sell all your loot and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't underestimate the Zombies and Drowned. Ensure you have a stash of at least 8-10 corpses for fuel during the final stretch. At around 100,000 meters, you'll reach open waters and be ready to confront the beast. The sign of its approach is the skies darkening.

When the Kraken emerges, everyone must target a tentacle. The boss has substantial health, and each tentacle can cause damage if not dealt with effectively. If you have five people, form a pentagram-like shape and each person should focus on a different tentacle.

Watch out for the water splash ability, which deals area-of-effect damage and is signaled by the Kraken winding back its tentacle, creating a water trail. Use medkits liberally, as some damage is unavoidable.

Finally, be cautious of the Roar AoE, which causes minor, unblockable damage and may slightly increase the boss's damage output. You'll recognize it by the white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle.
