Elden Ring Day-One Patch Adds Key Updates Pre-Launch

With Elden Ring Nightreign's launch imminent, Bandai Namco has unveiled crucial day-one patch details bringing key gameplay refinements.

Patch 1.01 is now live ahead of the multiplayer spinoff's May 29/30 global debut (depending on timezone). Players can consult the official Elden Ring Nightreign release schedule for precise availability.

During IGN's exclusive discussion with director Junya Ishizaki, the developer addressed the intentional focus on solo and three-player modes. Regarding the missing dedicated duo option, Ishizaki acknowledged this as an oversight.

"We regretfully overlooked implementing a dedicated two-player mode during development," Ishizaki admitted. "Our primary vision centered on crafting a meticulously balanced three-player cooperative experience that defines Nightreign's core identity."

"While we prioritized creating rewarding solo play within the game's framework," Ishizaki continued, "the duo configuration unfortunately didn't receive equivalent attention. We're actively evaluating post-launch support possibilities."
