Marvel Rivals Bans Keyboard, Mouse on Consoles

In an official statement, NetEase Games announced that players using keyboard and mouse adapters on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles in Marvel Rivals will face account suspensions.

The company considers such actions a breach of its policies, as these devices provide an unfair edge through enhanced control sensitivity and retained aim assistance features.

Adapters like XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper simulate a gamepad while actually using a keyboard and mouse. This offers a major advantage in competitive matches, especially when auto-aim is active.

NetEase stated:

“We classify adapters as hardware or software that mimics controller input via keyboard and mouse. This disrupts fair play, particularly in ranked modes.”

The developer has deployed specialized detection tools that accurately identify adapter usage. Accounts found violating these rules will be suspended.

Previously, we explored how higher FPS in Marvel Rivals can lead to increased ping. The spike may be less obvious if your base ping is already low. But if your usual ping is around 90 ms, a jump to 150 ms can seriously disrupt your experience.

This issue appears linked to frame rate. So what can players do? For now, the most practical approach is to wait for an update while testing to find the best FPS-to-ping balance. Some users recommend capping FPS at around 90. While this might sound unusual to Counter-Strike 2 players, it's the current reality for Marvel Rivals.
