Star Wars: Hunters has announced its shutdown even before completing one year, yet it will celebrate its one-year anniversary before the final curtain. But is it worth celebrating the anniversary of a game on its way out? That's a question for the fans to ponder.
When Is the Star Wars: Hunters Shutdown?
The servers for Star Wars: Hunters are scheduled to shut down on October 1st, 2025, marking the end of the road after just nine months since its launch. Players have until April 15th to wrap up Season 5.Zynga, the game's developer and publisher, is set to release a final content update on April 15th, introducing the last new Support Hunter, Tuya, available for free. On the same day, in-game purchases will be disabled.
Ranked Mode will remain active until the servers go offline, and events from the season will be rerun. If you have any unspent Crystals, now's the time to use them as there will be no refunds.
It Isn’t Shocking
While it's unfortunate, the shutdown of Star Wars: Hunters doesn't come as a surprise. The game faced multiple delays since its announcement in 2020, with beta tests limited to the SEA and ANZAC regions. The lack of major console support and a lukewarm reception contributed to its downfall. Even the game's design missed the mark by not leveraging the iconic Star Wars characters, opting instead for generic originals.
If you've uninstalled the game but are curious for one last ride, Star Wars: Hunters is still available to download from the Google Play Store until the shutdown.
