Halo Infinite's New Extraction Mode: Deep Economics & S&D Gameplay

Halo Infinite, while perhaps not dominating the headlines like some other titles, continues to receive dedicated content updates. A recent addition is S&D Extraction, a new competitive game mode designed to inject fresh strategic gameplay into the experience.

Inspired by Counter-Strike's core mechanics, S&D Extraction puts a unique Halo twist on the classic formula. Two teams of four players face off – one team attacks, aiming to plant a device at a designated location, while the other defends. Teams swap roles after each round, with the first team to win six rounds claiming victory.

The mode introduces a robust economic system, allowing players to purchase equipment at the start of each round using in-game currency earned through completing objectives. This currency's value fluctuates based on player performance, and all purchased gear resets at the end of each round.

Item pricing reflects their effectiveness and power within a round; expect cheaper options early on, escalating costs mid-match, and potentially even higher prices towards the end for players who strategically save their earnings. Players will also have the option to pay for respawns after being eliminated.

Launching in 2025, S&D Extraction promises a dynamic and engaging competitive experience for Halo Infinite players, adding a new layer of depth and strategic decision-making to the game.
