Just one month following its launch and inclusion on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released an exciting new trailer for Avowed. The trailer features glowing reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, underscoring the warm reception of this action-RPG.
The recent update introduces support for DLSS 4, which includes Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These enhancements significantly boost performance, with NVIDIA showcasing up to a threefold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, achieving up to 340 FPS. The developers have also hinted at upcoming announcements regarding the game's future updates and roadmap in the coming weeks.
This update goes beyond mere technical enhancements—it also improves the player experience. Players will now receive an extra talent point every five levels, and those who have already advanced will get their points retroactively upon loading the game. Keyboard and mouse users can now switch between walking and running, and a new accessibility feature allows for larger font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game text.
While Avowed didn't leave critics completely speechless, it still received robust praise. Digital Foundry hailed the game as a technical "triumph," cementing its status as a remarkable achievement from Obsidian.
