Krafton's latest release, inZOI, has achieved a remarkable milestone by selling 1 million copies within just one week, marking the fastest sales record for any game published by the South Korean giant. Launched on PC via Steam in Early Access on March 28, inZOI quickly became a topic of discussion, especially after players found an unintended bug allowing them to harm children in-game. Krafton promptly addressed this issue, labeling it as an "unintended bug" and releasing a patch to rectify it.

Despite this early controversy, inZOI has garnered a 'very positive' user review rating on Steam. The game also saw a peak of 175,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch, securing the third position in the Games category. Impressively, it soared to the top of Steam’s Global Top Sellers List just 40 minutes after its release, based on sales revenue.

The in-game user-generated content (UGC) platform, Canvas, associated with inZOI, experienced significant engagement with over 1.2 million participants on its launch day and saw more than 470,000 pieces of content uploaded.

IGN's review of inZOI's Early Access version awarded it a 6/10, noting: “inZOI is a visually striking life simulator with plenty of ambition, but not enough depth as of its Early Access launch.”

Krafton attributes inZOI's success to its pre-launch promotional efforts and effective community communication, which have built trust and momentum. The global showcase and demo build were particularly effective in generating high interest, according to Krafton.

CEO CH Kim expressed gratitude and excitement, stating: “We are grateful and excited to present inZOI to players around the world through Early Access. We will continue to actively communicate with players and foster inZOI as Krafton’s long-term franchise IP.”

Looking ahead, Krafton plans to roll out future updates for inZOI, introducing new content, mod support, and new cities. All updates and DLC will be provided for free until the game's full release.

In response to player feedback, Krafton has committed to applying quick fixes for reported issues through hotfixes throughout April. Acknowledging the scale of inZOI’s global community as a "next-level experience," Krafton admitted to undergoing "some trial and error in finding the optimal means of communication."
